Hanna was admitted as a solicitor in 2011 and worked for Mitry Lawyers in Sydney CBD for 2 years. Following this, Hanna worked for G&S Law Group in Parramatta for 2 years.
After working in the Sydney CBD and gaining extensive experience in a number of different areas of law, Hanna returned to Wollongong to work at RMB Lawyers for a further 2 years.
In late 2017, Hanna made a lifelong dream a reality when he founded Nightingale Lawyers. Hanna focuses primarily on advocacy work including commercial litigation and criminal defence.
Hanna has prosecuted/defended disputes in relation to the specific performance of contracts for sale, recovering losses/deposits after termination or repudiation of contract and a number of matters with Revenue NSW (OSR) in relation to double-duty payments. This understanding of how to prosecute/defend matters involving the sale of land helps Hanna to craft special conditions that will serve the interests of our clients. Furthermore, with the same variety of experience in litigating building and construction disputes (as well as his personal background in the industry) Hanna is equipped to provide advice in relation to planning and development.
In the future, Hanna would like to position the firm to focus primarily on conveyancing and criminal law matters.
Hanna is one of those rare solicitors who thinks being a lawyer is a public service before it is a private profession. For this reason Nightingale Lawyers does not charge for phone calls, emails and correspondence. We take an interest in the mental health of our clients because that is often the greatest concern for re-offending or the substance of the original offence.
Hanna also studied Creative Arts (Creative Writing) at the University of Wollongong and has a passion for writing and public speaking.
He is also a keen surfer, enjoys martial arts and is a big Bruce Lee fan.
